The Last Airbender Movie

The Last Airbender Movie - Even if you don’t know what the Last Airbender Movie is all about, it’s fairly simple to guess that its genre is action-adventure fantasy. The film is scheduled to be premiered on July 2. It’s likely to be one of the live-action film adaptations. Its main theme comes from the 1st season of the dynamic TV series - Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you already know, this one is the first one among the outspoken and planned trilogy.

This movie is supposed to be produced jointly by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. The series is influenced vastly by ancient Asian art, mythology as well as a variety of martial arts and fighting styles. The original creator of the movie was Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. However, the adaptation came through M. Night Shyamalan, who’s supposed to direct as well as produce this film. There are other producers are Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy, S. Mercer and S. Aversano.

The filming of this movie started back in middle of March 2009. However this movie would be released in mainstream traditional along with 2-D projectors, and 3D theatres.

This film has Noah Ringer starring as Aang, who happens to be a quite reluctant hero preferring adventure over the prime job he has as Avatar.

Aang along with his buddies - Katara and Sokka, take a voyage towards the North Pole for locating a legendary Waterbending master, so Aang and Katara can learn from him all the secret tactics of that skill. Meanwhile, Fire Lord Ozai (who happens to be the existing Fire Nation’s Fire Lord) is relentlessly waging a virtually endless warfare against the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes. The film is also starring Nicola Peltz, J. Rathbone, and D. Patel. The Last Airbender Movie has more story and suspense waiting for the audience!

An Overview of Avatar the Movie – 18 December 2009

Avatar the Movie – 18 December 2009 is an interesting 3-D science heroic fiction film which is written and directed by James Cameron. Century Fox is due to release the movie by the 18th of December, 2009. This is a project by Lightstorm Entertainment which concentrates on a heroic conflict in a distant world known as Pandora. In this world the natives (the Na’vi) and humans fight over the resources and existence of the planet. It is been touted as a massive breakthrough in the technology of filmmaking even before its release because of the 3D viewing and exquisite cameras which were specifically fashioned for the production of the film. Avatar the Movie – 18 December 2009 has been rated PG-13 for its strong heroic fighting warfare and sequences, smoking and language.

With regards to the plot, Jake Sully who is the lead actor and is a war veteran but paraplegic is offered another chance in the military. In the planet known as Pandora, there is an intense battle between armed forces of the world that are fighting with the natives of Pandora (Na’vi) and he is transported there. They are fighting for an important source of energy for earth which is under the Na’vi settlement. A new plan is devised where DNA of the humans are mixed with the DNA fragments of the Na’vi to create a new form called the AVATAR which Jake takes part. AVATAR’s are humans who have concealed themselves as one of the natives. He is thrown into their camp to learn their culture and more especially their weaknesses.

However Jake discovers that the natives are quite innocent of all what the humans have labeled them with. They have been made victims of a brutal war and are on the brink of total extinction because of the forceful nature of the war. Eventually Jake teams up with the Na’vi princess called Neytiri and instead turns the battle on its head by providing them with the important human intelligence. He then leads them in a heroic battle to fight against the intruders.

The release of the movie was originally scheduled for 22nd May, 2009 but had to be pushed back rather to 18th December, 2009. This is to allow for a lot more theaters around the world to install their 3D projectors. It will be released in the format IMAX 3D.

Avatar Movie - The Cast - Trailer HD

Sam Worthington acts as Jake Scully in the much awaited movie ‘Avatar’. Zoe Saldana is playing the character of Neytiri, the princess of the Na’vi tribe. Neytiri is attracted to Jake because of his braveness and charm. However, Jake comes from Earth to fight the Na’vi tribe. The tribe resides on a moon named Pandora and humans go to Pandora to fight its residents.

Matt Gerald is going to be acting as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet. He is the second – most prominent villain. The first is Quaritch. Other actors who are also in the film are Laz Alonso, Peter Mensah and Wes Studio. The cast of the movie consists of perfectionists and great actors.

James Horner is the music director for the movie. This is his third partnership with James Cameron. The first two films he directed the music for with James Cameron are the Alien and the Titanic. Some of the movies that the main character Jake Scully acted in are Jag, Water Rats, Bootman, Blue Heelers, Master of Life, Harts War, Dirty Deeds, Getting’ Square, Thunderstruck, Somersault, Blue Poles, Love My way and The Great Raid.

Zoe Saldin who is acting as Neytiri, has also acted in a lot of movies, such as the Center Stage, Snipes, Get over it, Drumline, Crossroads, Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the Black Pearl, Temptation, Haven and the Terminator. Zoe Saldin has many awards and nominations to her name. Some of them are the Alma Awards for the Best Actress for the film Star Trek. She was nominated for this award in the year 2009. She also was nominated for the Black Movie Awards for outstanding performance by actress in a supporting Role for the movie Guess Who.

In the movie, Avatar, Sigourney Weaver acts as Dr. Grace Augustine. She is best known for her roles as Lt. Ellen Ripley in the movie the Aliens and as Dana Barrett in the movie Ghostbusters. She is a three – time Academy Award nominee. She obtained this for her performance in the Aliens, Gorillas in the Mist and Working Girl. Michelle Rodriguez acts as Trudy Chacon in the movie Avatar. She has been in other movies such as Girlfight, The fast and the Furious, # A.M., Blue Crush, Resident Evil, S.W.A.T., Control, BloodRayne, The Breed and many more.

Stephen Lang is another character in the movie. He plays the role of the villain, Col. Quaritch. He has acted in other movies like the Proposal, Code 11 – 14, Fire down Below and many more.

Avatar 2009 Film release date is on December 18, 2009 worldwide.
